McAfee offers one-time passwords for single sign-on cloud service
McAfee Cloud Single Sign On provides way to provision and connect to hundreds of cloud services
McAfee Thursday announced it’s providing a one-time password function as part of its Cloud Single Sign On service for more securely provisioning and de-provisioning hundreds of cloud-based services for enterprise use.
McAfee Cloud Single Sign On can be integrated with enterprise identity repositories to provision cloud-based services that include Box.net, Twitter, Success Factors, Salesforce and Dropbox, among many more, says Matt Glenn, vice president of product management in McAfee’s network security business unit. A one-time password capability, based on a soft token, for any mobile device or PC is now an authentication option for this software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering, he says.
McAfee also introduced what it’s calling its Identity Center of Expertise for information online about its security and cloud-based services and support by its experts to answer questions.
McAfee is pricing the new Cloud Single Sign On offering in the $1 to $5 per user range, depending on the number of users/seats. It includes unlimited SSO connectors to cloud-based services, built-in multi-factor authentication and a way to deploy it on-premises on Windows or Linux servers or virtual machines, or as a wholly cloud-based version hosted and supported by McAfee.
